I am so excited about the launch of our new Tomato Riche Crème. This multitasking moisturizer is many years in the making and is perfect for these pandemic / post-pandemic times. With more time inside, looking at screens and wearing protective masks – our complexions in 2022 have their own needs. The story behind the formula
The formula is super hydrating, starring tomato which is very high in lycopene. Hydration is essential to recover skin from wearing a mask out in the world, plus perhaps we are using more heaters or aircon being at home more. I remember an old family recipe – my Grandma used to apply a slice of tomato to her skin and rub the juice in just like serum! It’s brightening and anti-ageing and I wanted to replicate her simple method for beautiful youthful skin. I always focus on superfood ingredients that are widely available so we don’t put any rare plants in danger, and tomato is so perfect, it’s a nourishing food from our kitchens with secret skin-loving powers. Tomatoes in Mexico where I come from are red, rich and smell so amazing, not like the ones we buy in the shops all the time! This crème harnesses the essence of real tomatoes from the earth to beautify skin.
Luxury face butter
Tomato in this luxury face butter can deeply nurture skin after cold or sun. The velvety texture is perfect as a thick moisturizer or even as a face mask - left overnight you will wake up with soft supple skin. The colour pays homage to the gorgeous colour of a 1980s French moisturizer that I loved when I was younger, I wanted to get it but living in Mexico before the internet, we couldn’t shop online, you had to go all the way to Paris to buy it! So this is a little bit of luxury for the everyday women, from the love of a kitchen ingredients to amplify natural beauty on all types of skin.
Added nutrients & eco-friendly
We’ve also added hyaluronic acid for plumping, chamomile oil known for its calming properties – but it also has polyphenols to help with ageing. Plus there’s beautiful lavender for scarring and reducing blotchiness. So what’s inside the crème is important – but also, we focus on the packaging. Because these days, putting beautiful, clean natural formulas in packaging that is full of plastic just doesn’t cut it. We are committed to doing the absolute best we can for the environment, and I am so proud to say this moisturizer is plastic free! The jar is all glass with an aluminium lid, and even the insert that protects the crème inside the jar is aluminium. This really took a lot of investigations from our team to find the best packaging.
