How To Get Great Curls!

When I first Met Lucy Vincent, founder of Sans [ceuticals], she gave me some advice on how to improve my curls that pretty much changed my life!

If you are like me, your mood is largely influenced by if you are having a good hair day, or a bad hair day...

Her tips for me were:

1. Wash your hair less often. I now wash twice a week maximum. For years I used & loved the Volumising Wash from Sans [ceuticals] but now I use our very own Nourished x Romy Cleanse + Refresh Hair Wash; formulated without silicones or drying alcohols it is completely Curly Girl friendly.

2. Stop blow drying! It was killing my hair and my curls. In fact, she advised to avoid having my shower too hot as it also destroys the natural oil balance in the hair and can lead to frizz.

3. Use Dry Shampoo in your roots for extra texture and volume. My hair was often fine and limp after washing, this tip has given me amazing volume. We believe we have formulated the worlds BEST all natural dry shampoo in the Nourished x Romy Dry Shampoo + Styling Powder + Scalp Treatment. Formulated, tested and approved by Romy Boomsma and us, this all natural multifunctional hair product is also vegan, cruelty-free and WITHOUT any parabens or silicones making it Curly Girl Friendly.

4. Use a Conditioner that is deeply nourishing yet lightweight when you wash and include a conditioning treatment in your routine. I use a hair treatment from Sans [ceutcials] when I feel my hair needs a little extra moisture. Layer the Nourishing Hair Hydratant Ultra+ once a week or so and layer it with 20 spritz of the pH + Shine Corrector. Wait 5 minutes and then rinse. This duo acts to flood the hair fibre with hydration & lipids and then close hair cuticles, effectively locking in all of the moisture & nutrients and healing the hair shaft so it becomes smooth, light reflective and tangle free. The ultimate conditions for incredible curls!

I also shared these tips with Emanuelle Vos and she is a convert! Just look at those incredible curls 😍
