What We're Taking On Vacation

Ever wondered what two clean beauty experts take on vacation? Next week Floor & I are flying to Greece for our annual work wives vacation and we seriously can't wait! It's been a big 12 months for Nourished, well, for everyone really, and so we are REALLY looking forward to the R&R. 
 
We will be staying on the island of Samos and are visualising a week of swimming, snorkelling, beach walks, lounging by the pool with a book, eating and maybe even a few sneaky pina coladas! 
 
Read on to find out what products from the Nourished collection made the cut and will be receiving VIP limited edition space in our luggage. 

 

Fake Tan

Seeing as up to 80% of the signs of ageing are contributed to by sun damage, not to mention the rising skin care rates, we now fake it on a regular basis. Our all time FAVOURITE organic tanning brand Three Warriors has two products I will be taking with me:
Face Tan Aqua Mist - for the BEST face tan everrrr! 
Self-Tan Mousse - for a gorgeous deep and dark tan that is natural and without the sun-damage.    

Sunscreen 

As clean beauty experts, we are always considering the impact of our beauty rituals on the environment. As such, we will be packing our reef-safe, all natural sunscreen from Little Urchin. Available in four options:

Natural Tinted Sunscreen SPF30

 

We have chosen to take them all! We love using the tinted option for my face and the others for our body. The Zinc Stick Clear is also a fabulous option to keep in your handbag for reapplication throughout the day.  

 

Solid Cleanser

We are going to save space & our liquid allowance with our very own Nourished Daily solid cleansers! The Dry Skin Cleanse Bar is going to be our go-to for this trip as it is formulated for the face, but also suitable for use on the entire body. Given we will be in the sun, sea & surf, this solid cleanse bar is the perfect antidote to Dry Skin. 

Exfoliant 

As we will be applying sunscreen to our face and body multiple times each day, we find using a natural exfoliant really essential.  Gently scrub away the zinc oxide that transparently sits on the skin acting as a physical barrier to protect from the sun every 2-3 days. Our go-to exfoliant? The Bio Active Exfoliant from Sans [ceuticals] of course. We find this an essential holiday item to rid our pores of grease, sweat and dirt that often builds up with holiday activities. 

Dry Shampoo 

If you haven’t yet discovered the genius of dry shampoo you are seriously missing out! Wild Pansy Tinted Lip Bar - Wish

We don’t like to wear much makeup and we wear even less when we're on holiday. We do however love a lip tint for drinks & dinner in the evenings. This tinted lip bar in Wish from Ere Perez provides hydration & moisture to your lips along with a subtle coral colour that is absolute holiday perfection. Can also be gently dabbed onto the apple of your cheeks to give a gentle blush.  

Cellular Repair 

For those Sans [ceuticals] lovers out there we would like to recommend the Cellular Repair Body + Face Lotion for when you are having fun in the sun. This lotion is wonderfully hydrating and helps to combat skin damage from sun exposure thanks to its active ingredient Niacinamide. The perfect after sun lotion! 

A great mani/pedi 

Bare, tanned toes look and feel extra great with a colour pop! I am choosing: Kester Black’s Tall Poppy and Floor is going for Cool Aid. Two classic colours that are also 10-free, water permeable, vegan & cruelty-free.
