We have recently been asked by a few of our beautiful clean & green community members why we have not made any posts or comments about the Black Lives Matter movement.
The truth is, it's hard to find the right words to say. We recognize that silence about this matter does not help to create change, but we also believe that action speaks louder than words. We believe fiercely in the need to address social injustice experienced by people of colour across the globe and we feel so strongly about this that posting a black square just doesn't seem to us to do justice to the enormity of this incredibly long-standing and painful situation.

It is going to take sustained focus, soul searching, action and hard work from individuals, communities, businesses and society at large to create the change that is so needed in the world. We encourage our customers to keep the momentum that has come from this tragedy going.
Since the beginning of Nourished we have committed to selling products that work for all skin types and tones and represent beauty and health across culture and race by showcasing models of all ethnic backgrounds. We hope that the diversity in our insta feed, the range of products we offer, the models we use on our website and our own Women Of Nourished represent our anti-racism and inclusion values.

When we consider the fact that we live in a world where the colour of your skin is a factor in health outcomes and life expectancy this also doesn't seem to be enough. As individuals and a business, we will consider what we can continue to do to contribute to the shift of the status quo and we are committed to this journey.
We will continue to ensure our products do not discriminate and that women of race and colour see themselves represented in our company. We will also be continuing our personal journeys while listening and looking for ways that we can take meaningful action now and in the future.
